If you are looking for experience in start-up business development, want to help alter the state of the food system for the better and have proficiency in the realms of social media – we could be your perfect match for a summer volunteer placement or student internship.
You should live in the Bristol area and be available to commit to a 3 month period from mid-July until mid-October. We’re flexible on time and days per week, but the more full-time the better. Though rest assured that we understand that IT’S SUMMER AND THE WORLD IS AWESOME AND THERE ARE FESTIVALS AND SWIMMING!! We’re human, too, you see. We’re also flexible about your return to studies so don’t let the dates concern you TOO much.
This position is a great opportunity for a recent graduate, undergraduate, or career-shifter looking to gain experience communications & campaign strategy, with a focus on social media management and building strategic relationships with key partners.
You will work with the team in all manner of things, but your key responsibility will be to engage, build and sustain a community through social media outlets.
We might be running a month-long campaign throughout September, too, which would be nice and crunchy. But even if we don’t, we’ll keep you busy and inspired.
It is a small team so there is a lot of scope to use your initiative and gain experience in start-up business development – passion and enthusiasm for the job in hand to occasionally go the extra mile is highly valued.
Knowledge of the independent, local and sustainable food scene in the South West and related organisations would be a mega plus point.
There’s no pay, but we can cover reasonable expenses and will probably buy you (locally sourced, organic) ice cream / cider.
If you’ve got a CV send it along to firstname.lastname@example.org, or if you haven’t write us a quick email saying why you’re the best. Or possibly why we’re the best.. which every approach you think will work best.
We look forward to hearing from you.
